Maxed Out Manwiches

Vegan Manwiches? Yes, Manwich is vegan. Max out your Manwiches to feed a crowd by adding green pepper, onion, smoked paprika, tomato paste and cannellini beans. I topped mine with vegan coleslaw and sweet pickles.


INGREDIENTS

15oz can Manwich

1 green pepper, chopped

1 onion, chopped

12oz plant-based ground

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 Tbsp tomato paste

2/3 cup water 15 oz can cannellini beans, drained & rinsed

8 vegan pretzel buns

Coleslaw & sweet pickles for topping

DIRECTIONS

In a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat with 1 Tbsp olive oil, sauté onions and green peppers for 3-4 minutes. Push to perimiter of pan and add plant-based ground to center of pan. Cook for a few minutes while breaking up into crumbles. Combine with onions and green peppers then continue to cook until ground is browned, approximately 5 minutes.


2. Add smoked paprika and tomato paste and continue to cook for another 1-2 minutes.


3. Add Manwich sauce and 2/3 cup water. Bring to boil, then add cannellini beans. Simmer for 5-7 minutes. Taste and add salt to taste.


4. To serve, toast buns then pile on maxed-out Manwich mixture, coleslaw and sweet pickles.
